Production and sale italian barrique wine: red barrique wine, white barrique wine from Italy.
A barrique wine is a wine that was fermented and aged in barriques. A barrique is a small oak barrel, which originates in Bordeaux, France. A barrique has the capacity of about 225 litres (59.4 US gallons, 49.5 Imperial gallons).
Barrique wines have a full-bodied character. Wooden oak barriques have an high tannin content and these tannins give the wine a sweet, velvety flavour because they contain aromatic substances recalling vanilla, roasted coffee and chocolate. The colour of barrique wine is more intense, in fact, especially in red wine, tannin substances bind with pigments which enhance the colour.
